Manufacturing Process Our skilled weavers have intricately handcrafted this rug. It has taken around 7-8 months to weave this rug with 3 weavers working on it on an average. This is a handknotted rug. The rug is first designed on a graph to provide a clear map of the design/pattern of the rug. After spinning/carding, the yarn is dyed according to the colors to be used in the rug. The process of making a Hand-knotted rug is incredibly taxing. The method itself requires the weaver to insert knots into the rug and tie them each by hand. After that the extra yarn is trimmed and washed, after which the rug is ready.
